Violet and blue diode lasers for confocal microscopes, material analysis and partical analysis require a laser with the best beam quality possible. Our Lepton IV Series of Diode Lasers are temperature controlled to fix the wavelength and provide lower noise. They have special optics specifically designed for this wavelength region. A 3mm or 6mm diameter beam with under 1/10 wavefront error provides pointing stability under 20mrad with typical coherence of 1-5cm at 405nm. Laser module comes complete with controller for an easy to use turnkey system. OEM versions of this laser have the same performance with more versatility in function. Note: There are claims by other venders that their laser have diffraction limited optics. All optics are diffraction limited to some degree. What is important is wheather the "Beam", which is a combination of laser and all optics in the path, is diffraction limited. The final beam output needs to be diffraction limited in order to generate diffraction limited spots. If it is not, then the spot generated is no smaller than what a red or NIR laser can generate. |
