For many applications, a pure gaussian beam is required. Our FC Series of collimators are designed specifically for singlemode fiber, polarization maintaining fiber and fiber laser applications which can generate a pure Gaussian beam. Available from 5mm to 45mm aperture sizes, the output is very clean with no diffraction patterns or beam distortions which are typically found in most fiber collimators. Output stays as a Gaussian shape no matter what the distance. Collimators have an FC or FC/APC receptacle input. Output is adjustable so that you can tune the collimator for best collimation at the wavelength you are using and then lock it down. Three wavelength regions cover from 375nm to 2000nm. A new coating covers the 2mm region. These collimators can be used with diode lasers, Ar, YAG, Ti-Saphire, HeNe, DPSS, Fiber Lasers and many others. The FC Series fiber collimators can be used with our Fermion I, II or III Series Turnkey fiber instrument lasers or our SRT-F OEM Series of fiber coupled diode lasers or other commercially available lasers. An important factor with fiber coupled lasers and collimators is the fiber used. The quality of the fiber plays a big role in how well the laser or collimator performs. We manufacture a line of fiber optic assemblies using singlemode, polarization maintaining and multimode fibers, for all wavelengths that can be used with these collimators. |

Specifications New! 80 pitch adjustment threads
on FC5 and FC10 collimators.
Please note: SMF28 fiber will give a smaller beam size due to to smaller NA at 1/e^2 points. Corning states the NA at 1% level, not 1/e^2 points. |
